The SolarEdge Nexis NX-BLCK-5K 4.9kWh Battery is a modular lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery block designed for the SolarEdge Nexis residential energy storage platform. Each block provides 4.9kWh of nominal energy and 4.65kWh of usable energy, with an integrated Battery Optimizer that allows individual blocks to be managed independently. The modular Simple-Click™ design allows battery blocks to connect mechanically and electrically as part of a Nexis battery stack without field wiring between individual blocks.

The SolarEdge Nexis battery block suits residential solar and storage installations built around the SolarEdge Nexis platform where modular battery capacity is required. A single stack can use one to four battery blocks, allowing installers to configure approximately 4.9kWh, 9.8kWh, 14.7kWh, or 19.6kWh of nominal storage per stack. It is a practical choice for new SolarEdge Nexis installations where battery capacity may need to be matched to household consumption, solar production, time-of-use energy management, or backup requirements.

Each NX-BLCK-5K provides 4.9kWh nominal capacity and 4.65kWh usable capacity, using lithium iron phosphate (LFP) cells. A single block supports up to 3.5kW continuous charge or discharge power, while additional blocks increase both storage capacity and available battery power within the supported Nexis system configuration. The battery operates on a high-voltage DC architecture and incorporates an independent power module for each block. SolarEdge ThermoShield™ provides cell-level thermal protection, while the Nexis battery system is designed around applicable US battery safety standards including UL 1973, UL 9540 and UL 9540A. Installation must follow SolarEdge instructions, applicable NEC requirements, and local electrical and fire codes.
