1. Who we are
Verity Solar (“Verity Solar”, “we”, “us”) sells solar panels, inverters, batteries and related equipment at https://veritysolar.com (the “Site”). This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to the Site and to orders you place with us.
By using the Site, you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

2. Information we collect
- Order and account details. Your name, billing and shipping address, email address, phone number, and the products you buy. If you create an account, we also store your login details and order history.
- Payment information. Payments are processed by our payment providers. We do not store your full card number on our servers.
- Messages. What you send us through the contact form or by email, including your name, email address and message.
- Approximate location. If you request a shipping estimate, we collect the ZIP code you enter. We may also estimate your country or state from your IP address to show relevant warehouses and shipping options.
- Device and usage data. Your IP address, browser type, pages viewed and similar technical data, collected through cookies and logs.
- Comments and reviews. If you leave a comment or review, we collect what you submit, plus your IP address and browser details to help prevent spam.
3. How we use your information
We use your information to:
- process and deliver your orders, take payment, and send order confirmations and shipping updates;
- calculate shipping options and costs for your delivery location;
- answer your questions and provide customer support, returns and warranty help;
- run, secure and improve the Site, and prevent fraud and spam;
- keep records for tax, accounting and legal reasons;
- send marketing emails about our products, only if you have agreed, and you can opt out at any time.
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Who we share it with
We share personal information only as needed to run the store:
- Warehouses, distributors and manufacturers that pick, pack and ship your order. They receive your name, delivery address, phone number and email address.
- Shipping carriers that deliver your order.
- Payment processors that take and secure your payment.
- Service providers that host the Site, send email, provide analytics or help us prevent fraud.
- Authorities and advisers when the law requires it, or to protect our rights, or our customers’ or others’ safety.
- A buyer or successor if the business is sold or reorganized, in which case this policy continues to apply to your information.
These parties may only use your information to provide their services to us or to meet their own legal duties.
5. Cookies, location and similar technologies
Cookies are small files stored in your browser. We use them to make the Site work and to remember your choices.
- Store cookies. Our shopping platform uses cookies to keep items in your cart, remember your session and keep you logged in. If you log in, login cookies last about two days, or two weeks if you choose “Remember me”, and screen-option cookies last a year.
- Shipping ZIP cookie. If you enter a ZIP code to get a shipping estimate, we save it in a cookie for up to 30 days so we can prefill it on later product pages.
- Comment cookies. If you comment on the Site, you may choose to save your name, email and website in cookies for a year.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but parts of the Site, such as the cart and checkout, may stop working.
6. Embedded content and third-party services
The Site may include content from other services, such as maps, videos or images. When you view that content, the other service may collect your IP address, set cookies and track how you interact with it, as if you had visited their site directly. For example, our Contact page uses Google Maps / OpenStreetMap, which has its own privacy policy.
We are not responsible for the privacy practices of other websites that we link to.
7. How long we keep data and how we protect it
We keep order and invoice records for as long as the law requires for tax and accounting, usually seven years. Account details stay until you ask us to delete the account. Contact-form messages are kept for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry. Comments and their metadata are kept until they are removed. We then delete or anonymize the information.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including secure connections (HTTPS) and limited access. No online service is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your choices and US state privacy rights
You can ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy;
- correct information that is wrong;
- delete your information, subject to records we must keep by law;
- stop sending you marketing emails (use the unsubscribe link in any email).
If you live in California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah or another state with a consumer privacy law, you may have extra rights, such as to know, delete, correct and opt out of the sale or sharing of your data. We do not sell your personal information. We will not treat you unfairly for using these rights.
To make a request, use the form on our Contact Us page. We may need to confirm your identity before we act, and we will respond within the time the law requires (generally 45 days).
If you have an account, you can also view, edit or delete your details in your account settings, except your username.
9. Children, changes and contact
Children. The Site is not meant for children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you think a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes. We may update this policy from time to time. We post the new version on the Site with a new “last updated” date. Using the Site after that date means you accept the changes.

What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
